We are seeking an experienced and reliable Skilled Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction or manual work, with the ability to confidently use a wide range of hand tools and assist with various site tasks. This role requires practical skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general labouring duties on site
- Safely and efficiently use a variety of hand tools and basic power tools
- Assist tradespeople with tasks such as measuring, cutting, and assembling materials
- Prepare and maintain work areas, including cleaning and organising tools and materials
- Load and unload materials and equipment as required
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times
- Complete tasks to a high standard within set deadlines
Requirements
- Proven experience as a skilled labourer or in a similar role
- Confident using hand tools (e.g. hammers, saws, drills, levels, etc.)
- Good practical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- CSCS card (preferred/required depending on role)
Desirable Skills
- Experience in construction, carpentry, or a trade
- Basic knowledge of building processes and materials
- Ability to read basic plans or drawings
- Experience using power tools
